Serves me well for trying to offer a rational view on the comments. Sure, I must be working for Microsoft or own stock to be defending their terrible console. I'll remember not to feed the trolls next time. The truth is the author should be a little more diligent when reporting stories like this. Cheers.

Did you actually read that screenshot you posted? always conected != always connected gameplay. This will fix a major annoyance with current consoles (I recently bought Fifa 13 and had to go through a couple of updates for 30 minutes before I could actually start playing). There's nothing in those documents that suggests DRM checks will be used. People like to make wild assumptions. Requiring an internet connection to play games would be suicide for the Xbox. They're not that stupid.
