Remember all those pirated, cracked versions of games that were sold with one-off registration codes on PC? This is gonna be that on a far worse scale than you can imagine. Imagine what will happen to an industry when you can't return something you bought, tried and didn't like because it's registered to you and now ruined for all else forever. Nobody will want to risk buying a new series they've never heard of because if they hate it that sixty bucks is just gone and you can't even give the flippin' thing away because you rubbed your console on it. And what happens then, when nobody wants to risk buying it? They pirate it, they modchip their consoles and they play it without paying you a dime. Nobody will develop for your console if nobody is actually going to pay for the games. Quite writing your own suicide patent and get back to actually working on hardware, you idiots. Both you and Microsoft.
