@Dustin - I will admit, for a moment, I said to myself "wait, is this happening". But I still believe if the writers are gonna pull the "This Scene is Happening in the Mind of the Main Character" twist, at some point, you must EXPLICITLY show the audience (or in this case, the player) that you are fighting an indoctrination attempt.

And yes, that sounds childish and obvious but you still have to treat it as such. I'd say, 95% of the ending, I took at face value. And I won't be made to feel guilty about that by the 7 ME-3 players who immediately deduced they were being Indoctrinated when they entered that red hallway (not you Dustin, just those few fans running around like "You just don't 'get it'").

The other issue with the Indoctrination attempt is this: Did the Reapers bring the Citadel to Earth and open that beam with the express goal of getting Shepard to run toward it and start their Indoctrination attempt? That's an awful plan, from my standpoint, and I expect more of Harbinger.

I understand that the DLC is free and it's the only reason I haven't traded my game in yet. If the DLC basically says that the events on the Citadel/Crucible were not taking place in Shepard's mind and they don't show Shepard "finding Miranda" (as he promised), the game goes right back to Gamestop.

oy, you already responded! lolll....Oh no, I don't subscribe to the IT either. I don't want them to adopt it, I was merely laying out the perception of both decisions.

I'm upset I pre-ordered and then purchased a 63 dollar game with no ending or a nonsensical ending that I can't experience ever again. T

here's a reason I keep going back to Gamestop and re-buying Oblivion used. Because even though I know how the game ends, I can't wait to get to kill the Mancor Cameron and then get to the Temple of the One and watch Martin Septim do his thing.

But to not change the ending means they're saying that those events actually happened? So the Citadel had 3 "kill/control/merge with the Reaper buttons at the top"? Shepard somehow didn't burn up on re-entry after he chose the Destroy option? I mean, just nonsense.

Sorry, there was one last thing I meant to add to my post: With the ending as it is now, the game has no replay ability.

This sounds like it's gonna be pure nonsense. The only way to fully explain the ending is to adopt the Indoctrination Theory. The problem with this option is: #1 they're admitting to selling us an incomplete game at full retail and #2 they're admitting they did a poor job of completely conveying that the player was fighting an indoctrination attempt. Not a single player should have had to go on Youtube to "get it".

If they don't adopt the IT, then the ending (at face value) is just flat out wrong and incapable of explanation. Without the IT, the ending has so many things wrong with it and that's just from a writing standpoint. Nevermind the lack of closure with your squadmates or LI.
