Like ninjas and astronauts, zombies are one of those timelessly cool things. Luckily for us gamers, we have plenty of great games that let you take out the brain-gobbling undead from the safety of your couch. Here’s a look at some of my favorite zombie games over the years:

 

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 & 3 RETURN
The classic shooter gets revisited with two whole games from the franchise on one disc, letting you shoot up legions of the undead.
Dead Rising
Capcom’s mall-based action game was a real treat, giving you plenty of zombies to take out and pretty creative means of killing them off.
Left 4 Dead
Valve’s multiplayer zombie shooter nailed all of the right elements, while adding an intense new style of multiplayer gameplay that is wildly addictive.
