Like ninjas and astronauts, zombies are one of those timelessly cool things. Luckily for us gamers, we have plenty of great games that let you take out the brain-gobbling undead from the safety of your couch. Here’s a look at some of my favorite zombie games over the years:

 

DOOM 3
The third entry in the Doom franchise, Doom 3 added a darker survival horror feel to the gore-fueled franchise, complete with creepy zombified scientists that jump out of every dark corner.
Plants vs. Zombies
This quirky casual action game offers up simple, yet extremely engaging gameplay.
Planescape: Torment
An under-appreciated RPG gem, Planescape: Torment put you in the lead role as a zombie hero, with gameplay elements similar to PC RPG legend like Fallout and Baldur’s Gate.
