Top 10 World War II Shooters
While some may argue that the genre has grown quite crowded over the years, there’s no denying that some of the best shooters ever released have been inspired by the Second World War. Here’s a look at some of my favorites from the WWII shooter sub-genre:

 

Call of Duty 2
The sequel to the original Call of Duty gave the player more action and some gorgeous graphics, and was essentially the launch title to pick up for 360 owners.
Battlefield 1942
DICE’s original online WWII shooter, Battlefield’s influence has been felt on a great deal of subsequent games in the FPS genre.
Wolfenstein 3D
The title that invented the FPS genre, the original Wolfenstein 3D was an innovative title with classic gameplay.
