Top 10 Games That Didn’t Live Up to the Hype
When the gears are moving and the hype-machine is in full force, there are some games out there that look like they will be unstoppable. Be it through word of mouth, press coverage, or plain old hyperbolic marketing, some games just get hyped up to an unattainable level, a move even more disappointing when the games can’t hit the high mark, be they not quite great enough or sometimes just plain bad. Here’s a list of some games that didn’t live up to the hype:

 

Alone In the Dark
A game that was supposed to reboot the classic franchise, Alone in the Dark instead succumbed to bugs and some poor design choices.
Too Human
A title that saw nearly a decade of development across several platforms (it was initially supposed to launch on the original PlayStation), Too Human finally launched on the Xbox 360, but control woes, a convoluted storyline, and several small issues throughout made it fall well short of the massive hype.
HAZE
A jungle-based FPS with some unique elements, Haze had the pedigree to be a PS3 system seller, but instead felt more like a last-gen experience with a last-gen look.
