Top 10 MMO Games
Even though it’s not really that old (compared to other genres, that is), the MMO genre has already experienced a much storied history. Offering some of the most compelling gameplay experiences available, MMO games have been widely embraced by gamers from all walks, from casual players to the hardest of the hardcore. Here’s a look at some of my favorites over the years:

 

Guild Wars
A game marketed as an MMORPG without monthly fees, Guild Wars shook the foundations of the “Pay 2 Play” system and offers some fantastic action-packed gameplay.
Ultima Online
The first true subscription-based MMO, UO almost single-handedly created the entire MMORPG genre, and created a pretty huge fanbase in the process.
Everquest
If Ultima Online set the framework for what the MMORPG genre would become, EverQuest put it in its well established for and popularized it to a degree that no one saw coming. They don’t call it “EverCrack” for nothing.
