Top 10 MMO Games
Even though it’s not really that old (compared to other genres, that is), the MMO genre has already experienced a much storied history. Offering some of the most compelling gameplay experiences available, MMO games have been widely embraced by gamers from all walks, from casual players to the hardest of the hardcore. Here’s a look at some of my favorites over the years:

 

Planetside
One of the first real efforts at an MMOFPS, Planetside may not have experienced a huge degree of success, but it did incorporate many elements that have since been emulated by a host of games from different genres.
EVE Online
EVE Online’s success shows how a good title can last on the strength of its community and rabid fanbase, without requiring a huge amount of marketing muscle.
Dark Age of Camelot
DAoC’s unique RvR gameplay was one of the title’s biggest draws, and elements of it can be seen in Mythic’s new MMO, Warhammer Online.
