Naughty Dog Considering 3D and Move for Uncharted 3
In news that will shock absolutely no one, Naughty Dog has confessed that they are definitely considering adding 3D and Move support to Uncharted 3 when it launches down the road. When the studio was asked about the possibility of adding a third dimension to the game they were decided non-committal, but definitely didn't rule out the possibility. "3D is an interesting technology, especially given how well it’s been recently implemented in the cinema and all the support it’s getting in the industry. We’re extremely fortunate to have the PS3 be a platform that can provide us with the power and option to implement 3D in future projects. What we may do with this technology depends on how it fits into the story we want to do, so we haven’t made any decisions at this time. Generally speaking, it is an exciting technology to see come to fruition in the home, as it opens a variety of ways developers can innovate with their narrative and with their games." New Game Types for Uncharted 2
Naughty Dog has announced that starting this weekend a new playlist will be implemented every other weekend on Uncharted 2, and that this system will be called "The Lab". "We'll be running a playlist featuring one or more custom-tuned game type variations," states Naughty Dog's website. "[These come] from the tons of variables we can tweak in our multiplayer game play settings."
Uncharted 2 Siege DLC brings new game type, maps, skins and trophies
Sony recently announced that the third multiplayer expansion for Uncharted 2, known as the "Siege" pack, will be available April 22 for a yet undisclosed price. Included in Siege are two new maps, six skins, 11 new trophies and a new co-op mode for players to sink their teeth into. Hit the jump to find out more.
Uncharted 2 Dominates GDC Awards
Last night the stars came out for the 10th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards and Nathan Drake continued his awards season dominance. New DLC for Uncharted 2 Coming February 25
Naughty Dog has planned to release a throwback DLC pack for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The new content is set to include: two brand new maps, 6 new skins, new trophies, and more multiplayer medals than you can handle. All the skins are from the original Uncharted game (Drake, Elena, Atoq Navarro, Eddie Raja, Gabriel Roman and the pirate Javier). The two new maps are The Flooded Ruins and The Facility, both of which are also from first game. All the content combined will cost you $5.99. To buy the maps only will cost you $3.99 and to buy the skins only will cost you $2.99. Check out the new trophies and medals after the cut.
