File this under "rumor" for now, but if it turns out to be true, this could be huge. VGChartz is reporting that a listing for Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City, previously content exclusive for the Xbox 360, is being listed for the PS3 by online gaming retailer SimplyGamers...but has since been taken down. Fortunately, they got a snapshot of the page, which you an see above...complete with boxart. Of course, it's worth noting that the DLC exclusivity contract (rumored to be about $50 million) could be over soon. Of course, this could merely be the Episodes from Liberty City game (which included both The Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony), and not include the DLC versions for the actual game discs. Either way, this has been wanted for a while by PS3 owners, so it's tough to ee why Rockstar would say no.
For those of you who may not look down upon Family Guy with complete and total disdain (I'm sure there are a few of you out there), you may be interested to know that Sunday's episode saw Peter suffer amnesia. This has required him to have to relearn to do everything, including drive. Following what seems to be one failed attempt at that, Lois decides to do something stupid: Predictable, but kind of amusing. Actually, from what I know of the handling of vehicles in GTA, I'd say that might have even gone more smoothly than one might expect. And just in case Fox gets touchy over 16 seconds of their footage being on YouTube, you can also find it on Kotaku and Ripten.
Both DLC episodes on one disc make for an attractive package that gives gamers plenty of reasons to rediscover Liberty City through a new perspective.
Here's a surprise: another mashup video from Dane Boe, this time featuring Grand Theft Auto IV and Frogger. I can already see how this wouldn't end well... Okay, I'll admit: that went the exact opposite of how I expected, which involved Niko attempting to run over Frogger, stopping his car, getting out, and shooting him. And in hindsight, I should have realized that's not how these things work.
