The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a potentially next-gen game coming in 2014

Remember the hidden message contained within the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer? It teased a February 5 reveal of what many assumed would be a new Witcher game. It looks like CD Projekt Red made good on their word, revealing the first details of the studio's next game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Projekt Red didn't flat out say it's a next-gen game, but did confirm it will be releasing sometime in 2014 on PC and "all high-end platforms available." As for actual game details, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a "standalone sequel" with "non-linear plotlines." Its world is 30 times larger than the previous game's — even bigger than Skyrim's thanks to the developer's new Redengine 3 technology.

The game — where players conduct detective work prior to monster hunting —  sees you travel to islands, forests, and a "dark fantasy metropolis." You will be hard-pressed to find a loading screen in between. I know your probably dying to know more, but this is all that has been revealed so far. Game Informer, which leaked this information as part of a teaser, will have tons more information in its March issue.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, which released for PC in 2011 and Xbox 360 in 2012, was a huge success for the Polish company.
