John de Lancie to voice Professor Fitz Quadwrangle in Quantum Conundrum

Quirky first-person platform puzzle game Quantum Conundrum will feature the voice talent of John de Lancie, Square Enix revealed today.

Best known for his recurring role as "Q" on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Breaking Bad, de Lancie takes the lead role as the "wacky and endlessly inventive" Professor Fitz Quadrandle who is hopelessly lost in another dimension.  That won't stop him from attempting to guide you, his nephew, through his extraordinary, yet extremely hazardous, manor home.

“The professor’s character is funny, a bit bizarre, and a great joy to perform,” said de Lancie of Progessor Quadwrangle.  “If players have half as much fun with the game as I did playing the character, then they’ll be having a great time.”

In Quantum Conundrum, you will take the role of a young kid dropped off on his uncle's (Professor Quadwrangle) doorstep.  However, after he mysteriously goes missing, it is your job to find him. With the help of his latest invention, the Inter-Dimensional Shift Device, which, at the press of the button, will shift the world around you to an entirely new dimension you will be guided from room to room solving puzzles. In order to find Prof. Quadwrangle, you must use the newly found IDS Device to dynamically change the world to and from a variety of different dimensions to progress through the complicated Quadwrangle Manor.

Quantum Conundrum, developed by Airtight Games and from the mind of Portal co-creator, Kim Swift, will be released this summer on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360
