Halo 4 toys coming to retail stores in August, first look at Master Chief action figure

Microsoft and 343 Industries have unveiled the first character in a line of Halo 4 action figures set to hit store shelves this August. It is none other than Master Chief himself, who finds himself awoken from cryonic sleep and ready to face new threats and mysteries.

Fans who attend Comic-Con in Sand Diego next month will get their first look at the new version of Halo 4's Master Chief action figures and have the opportunity to purchase it for $15. Those unable to attend this years show can find him along with the rest of the Halo 4 line in Toys "R" Us stores and other major retailers beginning in August 2012.

343 Industries didn't announce any other characters that will be available, but I'd imagine we see some new Promethean enemies, maybe Cortana, and a few other soldiers.

Seeing as how Halo 4 doesn't release until November 6, we may get a good look at some of the weapons and enemies we'll encounter in the new campaign. With a two month head start on the release of the game, I'm sure these toys will leak some sort of details about Halo 4. Expect to see more enemies and possibly the two new vehicles spoiled ahead of the game's release.

We already got our first spoilers, or rather additional details, thanks to leaked screenshots from Microsoft's ExpertZone quiz designed to teach retailers about its products. We learned Halo 4 will have 10 new weapons, 2 new vehicles, and 12 additional gameplay hours provided through season one of Spartan Ops.
