Warhammer 40,000 Fire Warrior - PS2 - Preview

E3 2003 - Hands on

When I was a little younger, I can remember buying and painting Warhammer 40K miniatures to use in epic tabletop sci fi gaming goodness. Needless to say, I was absolutely excited to get my hands on the new Warhammer 40K : Firewarrior for PS2. While the game is only about 60% complete, it's looking pretty darned good so far.

Warhammer 40K will have both single and four player modes to maximize your fun filled fragging potential. The single player missions have you playing as a Tau warrior making your way through the war torn universe, while the multiplayer mode will have you running through 6 - 8 different arenas blasting away at your buddies. There was no definite news about how many different races you will be able to play as, but there are going to be different skins that will be available ... one of which being the super cool looking Ultramarine clan. Over 17 weapons will be available in the final released version, and the multiplayer mode will have Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the flag.

For you Warhammer fanatics, be looking out for this one around Q3 2003 this year.
