Star Trek: Elite Force II - PC - Preview

E3 2003 - First Look

Between Star Wars and Star Trek, science fiction fans over the years have had a lot of entertainment from them alone. Activision is now putting out a new Star Trek FPS title for the PC that will be a sequel to the original Elite Force title from a year or two ago.

The first big thing about Elite Force II is the fact that it runs off of the Quake 3 engine, so graphics were sharp and looked like a big improvement over the original game, including some very detailed lighting and shadowing effects that were really impressive. In addition, it now has more NPC interaction, and the brief shot that I got to see had the main character talking to a bizarre looking alien that had some good dialogue and plenty of emotional detail in the face. There will also be plenty of FPS action for you to sink your teeth (or phasers) into with different weapons.

For you FPS and / or Star Trek fans, be looking for this title to show up around June of this year.
