Space Colony - PC - Preview

E3 2003 - First Look

The creators of Stronghold, the hit Real Time Strategy of 2001, take the RTS genre to a new level with Space Colony. Space Colony puts twenty unique personalities at your use in your space colony. The main objective is to make your colony flourish by having your select people do different tasks, ranging from building power stations to creating golf courses for your tourist industry. The twist comes with your characters. They each have a Sim-like side bar that tells you their hygiene, hunger and other levels that affect their overall happiness rating. The happier they are, the more work they get done. Also, since your characters are unique and have one of twenty individualized personalities, they tend to conflict and get into arguments and even the occasional scuffle. Your job is to keep a watchful eye on them and make sure they are happy and working. There are also twenty different types of alien species near your colony who can either leave you be or attack your colony as they see fit. The choice is ultimately yours on how to deal with them.

Space Colony is scheduled to be released this September.
