I Am Alive Is Not Dead

I Am Alive is one of those games that comes up in conversation every once in a great while. You’ll be talking to a buddy or watching video game trailers, and one of you will say something like, “Hey, have you seen that one game that’s all apocalyptic? The CG trailer of the game looked pretty cool. Ah, what was that game called?”

It’s called I Am Alive, and it’s a game that tends to pop up here and there. It almost seems as if this title won’t be getting more hype, though, and you wouldn’t be at fault for thinking this is a scrapped project. That said, it looks like I Am Alive is very much, well, alive.

The ESRB has rated the game M for Mature, in the process resurrecting any hope for this title’s release. I Am Alive got its M-rating due to the inclusion of “blood, intense violence, sexual themes, and strong language.” According to the site’s description of the game, I Am Alive is “an action game in which players assume the role of a man who must find his family in a post-apocalyptic world.”

It’s good to know that this game is still a thing. There’s a lot of potential here, and I wouldn’t mind seeing what the folks over at Ubisoft can do with the concept. Here’s hoping this ESRB reveal paves the way for some more concrete news on I Am Alive.
