PreviewsThis Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn 'Cryo' trailer is more chilling than the last vignette...literally
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, the upcoming live-action series that takes fans back to the beginning of the Human/Covenant war, isn't set to debut until October 5, but we're slowly getting more and more teaser leading up to its premiere. Following the Enlist teaser from earlier this week, another new Forward Unto Dawn vignette has been released.
While the Enlist vignette was described by me as "chilling" in the way it depicted the reasons behind recruits enlisting into the UNSC, today's vignette is literally chilling. It explores a concept seen in past Halo titles, but never really talked about: Cryo-Sleep, a technology necessary for deep-space travel to other worlds.
The new teaser, titled "Cryo", a new cadet discusses the feeling of cryo-sleep with his roommate the night before first-hand training begins. I've never given much thought into the whole process, but the way his roommate describes the feeling of entering cryo-sleep is indeed as emotionally chilling as it sounds physically.
Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is a five episode series that will air in the weeks leading up to the release of Halo 4. It tells the story of how Master Chief inspired a young UNSC cadet, Thomas Lasky, who will eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC Infinity Spacecraft. Despite not making it to the big screen, Forward Unto Dawn still has that high-budget production value that seems to be worth watching — at least judging from the early trailers we've seen so far.
