Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 - WII - Preview
When it comes to the game of golf, there have not been a lot of major changes to the core of the game … well, until Tiger Woods 10 releases in mid-June.
The motion-plus control scheme will create an atmosphere that is more challenging and much more interactive. While hands-on was not available, the changes were highlighted during EA Sports Season Opener held for the media in San Francisco Thursday.
Not only that, but the U.S. Open is finally making its way into a video-game.
The big deal is the motion-plus control that gives the game a true one-to-one swing. And taking advantage of the Wii’s connectivity to add real-world weather conditions to the game. Tapping into Wii forecast and weather.com, the game will pull in real weather conditions. If it is raining on the chosen course when the game is launched, it will be raining in the game world, and that rain will slow the greens.
According to the EA press release, other features include:
ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt and the Golf Channel’s Kelly Tilghman form a new commentary team that adds to the new sports broadcast presentation, including hole overviews, up-to-the –minute updates from around the course, and more.
Relive key moments in tournament history through an all-new character progression mode.
Maintain complete control of your backswing and follow-through to ensure an accurate putt with all-new Precision Putting.
There are new enhancements for the online tournaments.
In the past, players would hear the gallery but not see them. That changes in Tiger Woods 10. The course will be lined with spectators, which is a first for the Wii.
The swing mechanics will doubtlessly breathe completely new life into an already solid game and elevate the gameplay of Tiger Woods 10.
