Square Brings Voice to Final Fantasy IV

In the latest entry on the official Final Fantasy IV blog, Square Enix announced it would be using voice-overs to help bring a sense of emotion to the game as well as move the story along. In addition, a list of voice actors and actresses was also listed.

Rosa (Yuko Kaida)
Kain (Koichi Yamadera)
Gilbert (Ryo Horikawa)
Rydia (Noriko Shitaya)
Palom & Porom (Rie Kugimiya)
Golbez (Takeshi Kaga)
Cecil: Shizuma Hidoshima
Yan: Tesshou Genda
Edge: Hiroya Ishimaru
Cid: Ichiro Nagai
Fusoya: Banjou Ginga
Tellah: Gorou Naya

Previous work of these actors includes anime such as Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Bleach, just to name a few.

With Final Fantasy IV receiving a feature this elaborate, we can only hope that if Square Enix decides to remake the rest of the 16-bit Final Fantasy titles, that they will receive the same treatment. AMN will be sure to keep you updated on further developments concerning Final Fantasy IV.
