Phantasy Star Universe Arrives on PSP

Sega has announced it will release Phantasy Star Portable for PSP, reported this week’s Famitsu. The title will essentially be a PSP port of Phantasy Star Universe, which was released on PC, PS2, and 360. Luckily, the PSP edition will come packed with the latest expansion pack, Ambition of the Illuminus, and new original stories.

Unfortunately, the PSP version will lack one of the key features from the home console version. Sega has no plans to incorporate online multiplayer. However, the game will support 4-player co-op play over Ad/Hoc.

Phantasy Star Portable is planned for a 2008 release.
