Media: Titans Clash in New Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars Videos and Art

It’s kind of funny, in a way. In the upcoming Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, a game about pairing some of the greatest of Capcom’s mighty heroes into teams against some of the finest superstars of Tatsunoko, there is one match-up in particular which I am quite looking forward to, and it doesn’t involve any team pairing at all.

That battle is, of course, the mighty Great Lightan against the PTX-40A “Hardballer” from Lost Planet, touted as “the finest Vital Suit ever produced.” And in addition to artwork of both mighty mecha now decorating our gallery, Capcom has provided videos of the two in action, showing off some new moves they didn’t have in the previous version of the title.

First up: Grrrrrreat Liiiiiiiiightaaaaaan!

“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding!” What an apt reaction.

You know, for a guy who transforms into a gold lighter, I really expected more in the way of flame attacks and fireballs, rather than the sort of bursting punches he seemed to have going on.

Next, it’s time to get Lost. PTX-40A is in action, let’s see how he fares:

I have to admit, I’m more impressed by Lightan, due to his inability to be knocked on his back so easily. Still, it’s hard not to appreciate the artillery and melee weapons he brings to the fight.

Now, if we could just see the two knocking down and dragging it out with each other…
