Madden NFL 12 - Eagles and Redskins Ratings

The NFL preseason began yesterday with several kickoffs around the country. With that, we bring you two more team rosters from the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins. While the Redskins play tonight, the Philadelphia Eagles got off to a good start with a 13-6 win over the Baltimore Ravens. How does that roster translate over to Madden NFL 12, though? Let's take a look at what these two NFC teams have to offer in terms of gameplay.

Philadelphia Eagles: 86 overall The Eagles made a big splash in free agency this year by signing several big name free agents. Though not listed on this current roster, you can expect to find newly signed cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on the roster by launch day. Also not listed on this roster is ex-Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown, who joins LeSean McCoy (88 overall, 93 speed, 96 acceleration, 96 agility) in the backfield. Michael Vick is easily one of the most explosive quarterbacks in this year's Madden edition. With 91 speed, 96 throwing power, and 94 agility, Vick can beat you on the ground or through the air. Take into account the speedy receivers he gets to throw to, DeSean Jackson (99 speed, 98 acceleration, 91 catch) and Jeremy Maclin (95 speed, 93 acceleration), and you can easily see why the Eagles are NFC favorites. Oh yea, this roster is also without recently signed wide receiver Steve Smith. Asomugha will join pro-bowl cornerback Asante Samuel (95 awareness, 99 agility, 95 acceleration) and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (not listed on the current roster), creating a defensive backfield that likens themselves to the Miami Heat of football. The Eagles are going to make waves in the Madden community this year. View the complete Philadelphia Eagles roster.

Washington Redskins: 74 overall A lot of people are already counting the Redskins out of the NFC East championship hunt, but when you look at their roster, you can see they have some hidden talent. Donovan McNabb leads the offense with 74 speed, and 94 throwing power. However, with only 76 throwing accuracy, it might be hard to hit Santana Moss (96 speed, 95 acceleration, 95 agility, 88 catch). Luckily, tight end Chris Cooley has a staggering 85 catch in traffic making it possible for McNabb to fire the ball in between defenders. The scariest part of the Redskins is their defensive backfield featuring free safety Oshiomogho Atogwe (90 overall, 89 speed, 89 play recognition) and strong safety LaRon Landry (88 tackling, 88 awareness, 92 speed). Don't count the Redskins out of the chase yet. View the complete Washington Redskins roster.
