I’m a grown man who likes Disney Infinity, and that’s okay

I'm the owner of the Broncos in Madden NFL 15. I've survived hordes of Covenant and Flood in Halo. I've saved all of humanity in Mass Effect. Even in the midst of Destiny and with Sunset Overdrive on the way, I can't help but feel the most excited for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition).

I am a 30-year-old grown man, and I love Disney Infinity.

And why shouldn't I? I'm a Disney junkie with annual passes to Disney World, a D23 member, and can recite all the lyrics to most Disney movies (I say most because I hate The Hunchback of Notre Dame). Now, take that love of Disney and add Marvel to it. With the 2.0 Edition, I'll be playing a better Disney Infinity, but with Marvel characters. Make that awesome Marvel characters: Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Spider-Man, Hulk and more. And you know it's just a matter of time until the 3.0 Edition featuring Star Wars. Predicting it now: the first Play Set announced will be for Star Wars Rebels.

Even though I have a five-year-old son that loves the game and can't get enough of it, I don't love Disney Infinity for that reason alone. Sure, I have tons of fun and it makes me smile while playing in Toy Box with him, but I play Disney Infinity on my own, as well.

Disney Infinity is the complete package, and 2.0 Edition will hopefully perfect that package. Not only does it combine some of my all-time favorite franchises and characters, but it lets me enjoy them with my son and by myself. Being able to create a Toy Box of adventures and games for us to play around in as Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear is so much fun, and it's getting easier to do. Procedurally generated environments in Toy Box and easy-to-place game modes will make Toy Box better than ever.

There's exciting new figures and abilities (that look cool for collectors, too), awesome new items from Darkwing Duck and the Muppets, and something I've been hoping for since the game was first announced, interiors. I feel like a kid again when I play it.

Disney doesn't have a maximum age to enjoy it. It's for young and old alike. The same goes for Disney Infinity.

I am a 30-year-old grown man who loves Disney Infinity, and I'm proud of it.
