Eidos Announces Soul Bubbles for Nintendo DS

It pleases Eidos, or so they say, to announce Soul Bubbles, an action-puzzle game coming to the Nintendo DS wherein you experience the role of a shaman (not played by William Shatner, sorry) apprentice who is charged with saving and protecting spirits through use of mystic bubbles.

“Soul Bubbles is the most refreshing breath of air to debut on Nintendo DS,” said Robert A. Lindsey, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Eidos Inc. “The unique bubble physics creates gameplay that DS owners have never experienced before. This combined with a colorful universe and touching storyline is a game sure to engage puzzle fans of all ages.”

Soul Bubbles has 40 levels through which you use your stylus to inflate or deflate the mystic bubbles in order to guide your charges to safety, in addition to other uses, such as filling them with water and popping them to extinguish flames, or trapping and eliminating harmful gases. Eidos plans to have this pup on store shelves in the Summer of 2008.
