2K Sports, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive has announced today that their popular collegiate sports title, College Hoops: 2k6 will release for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 late this month on February, 21st, 2006.
The company responsible for the series have heavily improved the graphical aspect of the popular title and have also included all the traditional features of the series. While the 360 iteration doesn’t boast any exclusive features, it will however offer unique visual enhancements such as considerably improved player models and team rosters, detailed college arenas, and a fully three-dimensional home crowd.
To add to the game’s level of immersion, the developers have fully animated both the home and visiting crowd sections, as well as animated sections of the home teams band.
“We are thrilled to bring College Hoops 2K6 to the Xbox 360,” said Greg Thomas, president of Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio. “College basketball fans are die-hard, so we worked hard to deliver a game that would bring the intensity of college basketball to life. College Hoops 2K6 creates unique and exciting atmospheres, which are only enhanced by the power of the Xbox 360.”
