Rock of Ages (aka The movie where Tom Cruise sings)
Rock of Ages is the newest musical to hit the big screens and is directed by the director of Hairspray. It has a star-filled cast including Julianne Hough, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mary J. Blige, Alec Baldwin, and a little actor by the name of Tom Cruise (Tom, if you're reading this, I didn't mean little referring to your height). And guess what... Tom Cruise sings in it! It takes place in the awesome 80s where everything was great — the hair, the tight jeans, the music, and sex dripping from the stage. Rock of Ages features these actors singing your favorite songs from Def Leppard, Foreigner, Poison, REO Speedwagon, Twisted Sister, and the great band of all time... Journey. If you hate musicals, you'll probably hate this movie — unless you love awesomeness. Even if you hate musicals, the star power and music of the 80s warrants a view. I know I'll buy a ticket to see how this turns out. Even if it sucks, you still get to see Tom Cruise singing "Pour some sugar on me."
