What did you miss about video games today? What were some of the gaming industry's most popular people tweeting about? I'll give you 10 tweets I found awesome, informative, weird, funny, stupid, or whatever, and then I'll give some commentary on it. Also, we've gotten a few submissions from fans that have been retweeted by developers, publishers, or other gaming journalists; so as long as I have one to put up, I'll include a fan submission too.

It's Star Wars day, and the Avengers also released today, but today we lost the Beastie Boys' MCA, Adam Yauch.

If you haven't heard, then you're probably deaf. Even then, it's been all over the internet. Today is Star Wars day. So let's celebrate one of the best franchises ever with this:

I'll tie this in to video games by saying that the rosters in MLB 2K12 and MLB 12: The Show will eventually reflect this injury. Mariano Rivera, one of the greatest closers in the history of baseball, tore his ACL last night during batting practice. His storied career with the Yankees is most likely over, and it's a shame it couldn't be on his terms.

I'm really excited for Dishonored. I love BioShock and, for the most part, Assassin's Creed. And I LOVE steampunk. This game is like a wet dream for me. And this tweet does nothing but aid my excitement.

Yup.

So, The Elder Scrolls Online trailer didn't do anything to really get me excited for it — it doesn't really show anything. But the whole office had fun trying to figure out who did the narrating. It kind of sounded like Dumbledore.

Hahaha, he spellt school as scool. Wut n idiot. Lurn to spell. Also, awesome tweet Naythen.

Gladius is one of my favorite games of all time. It got pretty good reviews when it was released, but it didn't sell well. It was a really underrated game. Everyone should go bust out your old Gamecube or Xbox or find a copy of this game. As a matter of fact, I'm going to play it this weekend. GLADIUS 4 LIFE!

Our Tweet of the Day goes to Manveer Heir @manveerheir, Senior Designer on Mass Effect 3. However, it could go to anyone who had nice things to say about the Beastie Boys' MCA, Adam Yauch. He passed away today at the age of 47. The cause of death is not yet known, but Adam had a bout with a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node in 2009. He has had radiation treatment and surgery for it. The Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artist leaves behind a wife and daughter, and tons of fans that will never forget how he helped shape Hip Hop. You will be missed. Please keep Adam Rauch's family in your thoughts and prayers.
