Today's top 10 tweets from the gaming industry - 5/3/12
What did you miss about video games today? What were some of the gaming industry's most popular people tweeting about? I'll give you 10 tweets I found awesome, informative, weird, funny, stupid, or whatever, and then I'll give some commentary on it. Also, we've gotten a few submissions from fans that have been retweeted by developers, publishers, or other gaming journalists; so as long as I have one to put up, I'll include a fan submission too.
Today's big news was the announcement of Elder Scrolls Online — the worst kept secret in gaming. So expect a few tweets about that.
That's actually the most perfect description of the gaming community's attitude towards Call of Duty. Well done Mr. Sterling.
That's what I picture all indie game devs looking like. And I'd be very disappointed if they didn't look like that. I can't help but think is is somehow related to a certain company's Indie pack — maybe the Arts of Electronic?
What the f**k are you talking about? Are you high? Been hanging out with Wiz Khalifa? I feel like you're one of those geniuses that are just totally whacked out of your head, but you make sense in your own sort of way. Answering your question, how the hell would the friend know anything was under the carpet? And if I'm creating the virtual habitat, who's to say I go with carpet at all? I find laminate flooring to be a lot more efficient. Oh, by the way, your view on controllers sucks.

I'm sooooo nervous about this. The fact that Bethesda isn't making it scares me. The fact that it thrives as a single-player experience — much like Knights of the Old Republic — scares me. I didn't like SWTOR at all, so taking another series and giving it the MMO treatment frightens me. Don't even get me started on the possibility of a Mass Effect MMO. But, I'll reserve judgement until I read the July Game Informer.
A play on Enter the Matrix? I GET IT!
Metacritic is useless. User reviews aren't actually a fair way to judge a game, as it's mainly disgruntled customers that are taking out their anger and assigning a score of "0" to a game. Of fanboys of a competing game bash a certain title. It's ridiculous. Every gamer can do a little research and tell whether or not they will like a certain game.
I'm pretty sure that Zenimax is part of Bethesda... but I'd feel more comfortable about this project if it had the Bethesda name on it.
This is one of the reasons why I'm very nervous about The Elder Scrolls Online. Why are we so eager to turn everything into an MMO? All they do is disappoint us.
Tweet of the Day
Our Tweet of the Day does not go to Kim Kardashian, but you need to see her tweets in order to understand this one. So Kim likes Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (in addition to being an attention whore). In response to her tweet about the Black Ops 2 graphics looking crazy, @CarmarSuperstar tweeted to Kim Kardashian:
I know you can't hear me, but I'm starting a slow applause in the GameZone office. I love to poke fun at Kim's fake 72-day marriage. You, my friend, gave me a huge laugh. Follow Carmen Nicole, just because she earned it with this tweet to Kim.
