Set amidst the heavily confrontational regions of Western America during the late 1800’s, Deadlands features fast paced action gameplay combined with diverse and engaging adventure and exploration elements. The environments, enemies and characters that appear will include features based on those found in the Deadlands RPG game from Pinnacle Entertainment adding a high level of detail and richness to the experience.
The story of Deadlands is a 3rd person action horror title, which sees a murdered gunslinger, brought back to life through possession by an evil spirit. Known only as the Stranger, he seeks retribution against the Seven Sins, a merciless gang of criminals who have entered into a terrible pact with the Reckoners, an evil force from another plane of existence.
You will be using an array of customizable weaponry along with newly acquired supernatural powers, the player will also have access to a constantly increasing repertoire of special attacks and techniques which are acquired from defeated foes. These ‘coups’ are needed to fight your way through the horrors and return each of the Seven to Hell.
This horror twist on the American West seems like a nice addition to the recently growing number of games based on it.
