State of the Xbox Volume 9

Walk into any video game store in North America today, and you're likely to see an Xbox kiosk running the hottest games on the planet. Odds are there will be a crowd of gamers around it checking out the latest releases and sometimes going head-to-head with some multiplayer action. Fly to Japan and what'll you see? Exactly the same thing! Ditto in Europe. Now that Xbox is a global phenomenon, and gaming has changed forever in all corners of our little planet, there's just one thing missingâ€¦

The gamers in North America should be playing the gamers in Japan, who are playing the gamers in Europe â€“ all in real-time, and all with the same level of immersive game play that can only be found on Xbox! I'm not talking about jumping through hoops to get playing online, either. Xbox is about getting you into the game FAST, and online gaming will be no exception. Put the game disc into Xbox, power up, and you're there â€“ with your friends from a different neighborhood, a different time zone, or a different continent.
