Zelda: Skyward Sword Already Pirated

Although The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's official launch is still a week away, already a working copy of the game is being passed around various filesharing communities, players using softmodded Wii consoles or the Dolphin emulator to get a head start on playing the game.

Obviously Nintendo can't be happy with people pilfering their big holiday release, especially with Skyward Sword on track to be the best Wii game in the console's history. Some pirates have justified their actions by pointing to the Wii's lack of support for HD gaming, with the Dolphin emulator offering full 1080p graphics. Still, it seems most are simply interested in playing through this possible Game of the Year contender a week ahead of launch, without ever dropping a dime.

It seems likely they'll try and locate the source of the leak, possibly a rogue journalist who recieved an early copy of the game for review. We'll definitely be keeping an eye out for any guilty looking journalists at our next Nintendo press junket.
