Zelda Breath of the Wild Update 1.2.0 Adds Different Languages & Gameplay Fixes

Now we can call it Zelda: Aliento de Salvaje

Nintendo has released the latest Zelda Breath of the Wild update numbered 1.2.0. It adds language options for the voiced dialogue, as well as some gameplay fixes.

The update is available for both the Switch and the Wii U, though the language pack for Wii U is available through the eShop as opposed to an automatic update.

There are nine different languages added to  Breath of the Wild, including the Japanese voiceovers from the game's pre-launch trailers. Even more interesting, the spoken language can be changed separately from the text language. Like the Japanese voices better, but can't read Japanese? Now you don't have to.

Here are the patch notes:

Version 1.2.0

  • A feature has been added that allows you to choose from nine language options for in-game voices. You can access this setting from the Options menu on the title screen.

  • French (France)
  • French (Canada)
  • German
  • Spanish (Spain)
