XOS College Sports and SEC Digital Network now available on PS3

Sony is giving Microsoft a run for its money as the best "entertainment" system.  Sony announced today the addition of two college sports applications for the PlayStation 3.  Available today on the PlayStation Network, you can download XOS College Sports and SEC Digital Network.

With these two apps, PS3 users now have access to a customizable college sports platform to stream current and class content on-demand.  Sports fans can now get pre and post game analysis and highlights as well as a "Game of the Week" extended highlight.  Full games are available to purchase and watch the next day.  If you are more into classic games and documentaries, these apps date all the way back to the 1950's.

Sony's Morgan Haro confirmed that most of the programming is free to watch with certain special events available for pay per view.

The PS3 is currently the only console to host these two applications.  They can be found in the "Media & Apps" category in the PlayStation Store and launch it from the TV/VIdeo Services icon on the XMB.
