Xbox LIVE reportedly down, core services 'limited'

Microsoft has issued an Xbox LIVE service alert, notifying users that core services on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and other Xbox devices are "limited." According to the update, Xbox members are having trouble signing in to Xbox LIVE and buying downloadable. The good news is that they are aware and working on a fix.

"Xbox members, are you having trouble signing in to Xbox Live? Hang in there, we’re on it! Thanks for your patience while we work to correct this issue. Another update is coming your way in 30 minutes," Microsoft said of the sign-in issue.

As for the limited purchase and content usage, Microsoft says they are "diligently working toward a fix."

"We understand some of you are having a hard time viewing television seasons you’ve already purchased from Xbox Video. As you read this message, we’re diligently working toward a fix. We appreciate your patience during this process and will update you again when more information becomes available."

Xbox LIVE isn't alone in its problems, as Sony has acknowledged PSN is "intermittently available. "Damn you Destiny beta, you are ruining it for everyone... except that you're only available today on PlayStation platforms. So then what gives Xbox LIVE?
