Xbox 360 Breaks Records in Sales

As we have covered, there have been some amazing Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and holiday sales this week.  As more and more folk are buying up electronics and gaming devices, sales continue going up.  Sure you get a console and some games for cheap, but the real winners are the developers of these systems and games.

Microsoft entered its seventh year with the Xbox 360.  The week of Black Friday broke its personal record of sales.  Over 960,000 Xbox 360’s were sold alone this week in the US.  800,000 of these consoles were sold within 24 hours.  750,000 Kinects for the Xbox 360 were sold in the US – standalone and bundled.

With the plethora of long awaited video games and now Black Friday sales, these last few months have been quite profitable for Microsoft and other developers alike.
