Worldwide Premiere of "Making History Gold" Scheduled for GamersGate

GamersGate announced today the worldwide digital download premiere of the Gold Edition of MAKING HISTORY The Calm & the Storm. Developed by Muzzy Lane Software, the game is scheduled for release on July 28 and will retail for $19.99.

"Gamers and press alike raved about the original game when it was released last year and the Gold Edition is set to raise the bar even further. We can't wait to offer this premium title to our existing and new customers", said Theodore Bergquist, CEO of GamersGate.

MAKING HISTORY The Calm & the Storm GOLD is a turn-based strategy game in which players apply their strategic skills to forge the fate of their chosen nation during a time of looming crisis. The Gold Edition includes the MAKING HISTORY Game Editor, as well as a host of new features, expanded game play and a brand new scenario focusing on Germany's rise to power. Players will always find scores of free content, user-created scenarios, and a vibrant player community at the MAKING HISTORY Gaming Headquarters www.making-history.com

The game experience of MAKING HISTORY will appeal to strategy players who enjoy open-ended games like Axis & Allies and Civilization. The goal of the game is not to continue to replay history as it happened, but to create your own. Historical starting points for each scenario set the familiar scene; but from there, players experience open-ended, dynamic gameplay. Virtually any country is playable across a variety of the game's bundled scenarios or the downloadable user-developed scenarios, offering endless hours of gameplay.

Pre-orders are available now on GamersGate. To read more about the game or to place your pre-order, please go to: http://www.gamersgate.com/index.php?page=product&what=view&sku=DD-MHGOLD

Owners of the original game will receive an exclusive GamersGate discount of 25% when purchasing the Gold Edition.
