Shovel Knight's back for a cameo in Yooka-Laylee, as seen in the EGX 2016 "Yooka-Laylee – Character Parade & Shovel Knight Trailer." This time the pixelated hero is looking good in 3D and HD.
Playtonic Games has yet to reveal what role the indie superstar will play in the game, but it is worth noting that there's a Shovel Knight amiibo, and effort towards partnering with Nintendo and making Yooka-Laylee amiibo for fans on Nintendo platforms. Meaning the game will likely support them on Wii U. Perhaps Shovel Knight makes an appearance when his amiibo is scanned in? Anything's possible.
