[Watch] Pokemon Generations: Episode 12: The Magma is now available

The legendary Pokemon Heatran is the focus

As Pokemon Generations moves along, we are now into Gen 4 with the Sinnoh region. Gen 4 was the first time where I sat back and realized that there are A LOT of legendary Pokemon. A lot and they've done nothing but escalate each generation. Gen 1 had five (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew), Gen 2 had six (Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi), Gen 3 had 10 (Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys), and the Gen 4 topped them all with 14 (Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Regigigas, Giratina, Cresselia, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus).

At this point it would seem like the term "Legendary" in the Pokemon word doesn't quite mean what it used to. But fortunately, all of them are still worth catching, even just to fill up the Pokedex, and this episode of Pokemon Generations shows off the Heatran storyline where the remnants of Team Galactic (once again) attempt and fail to control a legendary Pokemon.

The main character in this episode, whom you probably won't recognize is Buck, who is the younger brother of Flint, the Fire Trainer from the Elite Four. He does not appear in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum until you go to the Battle Resort, and he specializes in Pokemon with high defensive and special defensive stat bases. We also get a look at Looker from the International Police and suffice it to say; I wish that this thing could turn into a full-blown anime.
