Warriors: Legends of Troy to Bring Burly Men, Gore Stateside in 2011
Announced at TGS last week, Warriors: Legends of Troy (or Troy Musou) will be the first Western-developed entry into Koei Tecmo's long running series of Musou games set during the Trojan Wars. Developed by Koei Canada, one of the first things that players should notice is the inclusion of gore from their last entry Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. The game looks like it will carry the same over-the-top violence as, say, 300, and although it's not a game breaker it's a much welcomed return into the series.
Other features include an online mode that lets four players co-op or compete and the ability to equip shields on horses and use them to bash enemies. You can also use weapons dropped by your opponent. Although Tecmo has been experimenting with adding new elements into the series in order to freshen it up, e.g. Fist of the North Star: Ken's Revenge, the same core of the game is still there. Warriors: Legends of Troy is currently due for release in early 2011.
