Voodoo Fest 07: SingStar Stage

Calling all rockstar, pop star, and R&B star wannabes at this year’s Voodoo Fest was the SingStar Stage. Located toward the middle of the New Orleans City Park (where the festival was held), the SingStar stage gave aspiring recording artists the chance to get up and perform their favorite music tracks solo or with a friend – for all of Voodoo Fest to hear.

Players could enter the spotlight on stage or check out SingStar Pop and SingStar ‘80s kiosks that were conveniently placed next to the stage (with no spotlight, for those of us who wish to avoid embarrassment). Most were eager to show off their talent though – or lack thereof.

Take this guy for example – he’s wearing sunglasses at night. How rockstar is that?

Having witnessed the damage of what an inexperienced voice can do to a crowd, these young women didn’t sing as loudly as the two guys that performed before them. Can you blame them?

During the day gamers could track down Sony’s walking kiosks for a game of Buzz! The Mega Quiz.

Games and live music – is there any better combo?
