Voltron VR game has been announced for PSVR
Get ready to defend the Universe
Dreamworks announced that is developing a game based on the famous animated TV series Voltron. The studio is partnering with Digital Domain to bring the game exclusively for PlayStation VR. A teaser trailer was posted yesterday showing the type of animation and graphics of the game.
From the trailer, the character design and animation looks similar to the Netflix’s reboot of the series (Voltron: Defender of the Universe). The voice acting seems very faithful to the TV series and it seems it will pack a lot of action.
In the game, you’ll be able to command Lance, pilot of the blue lion, who discovers the remains of a lost civilization deep within enemy space. This will trigger an emergency which will require to fight against the forces of Zarkon.
Voltron follows the story of a team of five young pilots, also known as paladins, commanding five robot lions which can be combined to form Voltron. Their mission is to protect planet Arus (ruled by Princess Allura) from the evil King Zarkon (from planet DOOM), his son Lotor and the witch Haggar. The five paladins are:
- Shiro (Pilot of the Black Lion)
- Keith (Pilot of the Red Lion
- Pidge (Pilot of the Green Lion)
- Lance (Pilot of the Blue Lion)
- Hunk (Pilot of the Yellow Lion)
Voltron VR Chronicles can be pre-ordered now at the PlayStation store for the discounted price of $11.99.
