[Updated] Outlast 2 demo appears on PlayStation Store; To release on PC, Xbox One today

Will it release for the Xbox One and PC too?

Update: A press release has detailed that the Outlast 2 demo will be available today on Xbox One, PS4 and PC (via Steam). The demo will be available until Tuesday, November 1!

Description on Outlast 2, as per the press release:

You are Blake Langermann, a cameraman working with your wife, Lynn. The two of you are investigative journalists willing to take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch. You're following a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe.

The investigation has lead you miles into the Arizona desert, to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.

Original: After a huge success across the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, it was revealed that a sequel to the horror game Outlast was in development. Unfortunately, the game was delayed into 2017 – but that doesn't mean we won't be getting a piece of it this year!

According to reports, a surprise demo for the game appeared on the European and Australian PS Stores last night. It hasn't been made clear when the demo will be available on PS4 in North American territories, but hopefully it happens soon!

It's also unclear whether the demo will release for PC and Xbox One! Red Barrels has yet to offer details on the demo, however, we do know that Outlast 2 will be only getting a digital release, at least for now. Outlast 2 is set to release in Q1 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
