Update to GTA 5 disables mods, but there’s already a workaround

If I want a helicopter, I'm getting a helicopter.

When it comes to mods in Grand Theft Auto 5 Rockstar has always maintained that they want to do their best at keeping the integrity of GTA Online intact and making sure that "nothing detracts from the experience." Essentially, Rockstar doesn't want to see people using exploitive glitches and mods to trump other players in online multiplayer.

Reports of players using invisibility glitches and god modding in GTA Online have been made, much to the displeasure of gamers that don't modify their gameplay. Not all mods are nefarious though, some of them just turn you into whales or cats. Others spawn vehicles.

Rockstar did not comment on the subject of mods, but instead released an update for GTA 5 that effectively prevented the ability to use mods entirely in the game. Whether or not this was their intention with the update has yet to be confirmed.

If you want to keep playing GTA 5 with mods, there's a way. YouTuber Taltigolt has figured out a workaround to get mods back in the game. Taltigolt recorded the process of getting his vehicle spawning mod back in Story Mode, check it out:
