Spend Valentine’s Day Playing
Games With Your Loved One

Don’t want to get dragged to the
theatres this weekend see Dear John or Valentine’s Day? Would you rather sit
indoors and play video games? Well, here are 10 games to convince your
girlfriend, wife or loved one to sit at home and fumble with your joysticks.

10 – Mario Kart Wii
Platform(s): Nintendo Wii

Full Review – 8.8

Per industry standards, Mario Kart
Wii once again appeals to casual gamers. It’s a lovely title to pick your
favorite Mario character and race against your wife or girlfriend. She’ll
receive an incredible amount of joy when she flies by you after using a POW
block that sent you spinning out of control. Plus, she now can use her own Mii
or select Baby Peach – or if she’s on the dangerous side, select Baby Daisy –
for her character.

9 – Resident Evil 5
Platform(s): Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC

Full Review – 8.5

Taking control of the dreamy Chris
Redfield or gorgeous Sheva Alomar, Resident Evil 5 is a cooperative dream for
guys to introduce to their loved one. Our recommendation would be to play this
one in the dark so she has to sit extra close to you in case of any terrifying
moments. Just be sure to let her have the extra ammunition or else she won’t
have any fun with unloaded guns.

8 – Halo 3
Platform(s): Xbox 360

Full Review – 9.7

To receive the maximum amount of
pleasure out of Halo 3, when, of course, you are playing with your loved one,
jump into a social match and let her have free reign to run around and do as she
pleases. To ante up the fun factor, invite a dozen or so of your friends into
the social match and let your loved one talk trash over the headset as she
aimlessly drives a warthog around the map.

7 – Trauma Center: New Blood
Platform(s): Nintendo Wii

Full Review – 8.6

Has your girlfriend or wife ever
wanted to save someone’s life? Well Trauma Center: New Blood puts them behind
the scalpel as a surgeon to save the lives of people in Alaska. Hokey and
brilliantly told through anime-style cut scenes, you should prepare her for the
video-game form of a soap opera.

6 – Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Platform(s): Nintendo Wii

Full Review – 9.5

Whether it’s Kirby, Jigglypuff,
Olimar, Yoshi or Zelda/Sheik, there’s a plethora of characters that should be
tremendously appealing to use for your loved one to play along. Besides fighting
against one another, SSBB includes a cooperative mode titled the The Subspace
Emissary – so no longer will you have to play at half-speed to allow your loved
one to remain competitive.

5 – Bomberman Live
Platform(s): Xbox 360

Full Review – 8.5

Cute and charming, Bomberman Live is
among the best multiplayer games on the Xbox Live Arcade. Having a variety of
game modes to pick from such as the GameZone favorite, Paint Bomb, to the
ability to dress up your own Bomberman character with headwear and clothes,
Bomberman Live offers repeat visits.

4 – New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Platform(s): Nintendo Wii

Full Review – 8.5

While it could turn out to be a
frustrating experience, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the best multiplayer title
on the Nintendo Wii when it comes to cooperative gameplay with your female
companion. She may fall to her death more often than not and accidentally steal
all the power-ups, but if it’s true that love conquers all, then forgiveness
shouldn’t be too far behind.

3 – Rock Band 2
Platform(s): PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii

Full Review – 9.1

Want to listen to music that she
normally refuses to listen to? Well, put it on the set list in Rock Band 2 and
have it “randomly” come up while you both rock out in Rock Band 2. Rock Band 2
is a simple game to pick up and learn, so this is an easy recommendation to
every couple. If she doesn’t like the plastic accessories, then throw her the
microphone and let her sing her heart out to “Just a Girl” by No Doubt. Before
you know it, she’ll be inviting her friends over for all night Rock Band 2
parties.

2 – Castle Crashers
Platform(s): Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 (2010 release)

Full Review – 9.5

Having more than 24 charming
playable characters, Castle Crashers is an absolute delight to play with your
girlfriend or wife. It’s straightforward and simple to understand – move forward
and strike down everything in your way. In addition, Castle Crashers employs
dozens of cute animal orbs to collect and use within the game. By the end of the
first level, she should be hooked and may end up playing the title when you
aren’t home.

1 – LittleBigPlanet
Platform(s): PlayStation 3

Full Review – 9.7

The best way to say “I love you” in
video-game terms is to play LittleBigPlanet with your wife or girlfriend. If you
looked up the word adorable in the dictionary, a picture of Sackboy,
LittleBigPlanet’s mascot character, would be there. LittleBigPlanet redefines
the platforming genre and allows her to stretch her imagination with the
numerous amounts of customization options. Play LittleBigPlanet on
Valentine’s Day. Create a multitude of new memories will never be
