Tomb Raider 'Caves and Cliffs Multiplayer Map Pack' announced, coming first to Xbox 360
Square Enix has announced the first batch of multiplayer maps for Tomb Raider. The newly announced Caves and Cliffs Multiplayer Map Pack will introduce three new multiplayer maps: Scavenger Cavers, Cliff Shantytown, and The Burning Village. As we learned back at E3 2012, the DLC will first arrive on Xbox 360 via Xbox LIVE.
"The Caves and Cliffs Multiplayer Map Pack opens up more of the island’s fantastic geography to players," a description of the add-on reads. "Each of the three maps are playable on all four multiplayer game modes and sees the island’s indigenous Scavengers pitted against the crew members from the shipwrecked Endurance."
Below are the official descriptions of each map:
- An extensive subterranean network of caves used by the island’s scavengers as an underground prison
- This scavenger settlement was built high up on the island cliffs. Its many layers hide some of the deadliest traps on the island
The Burning Village
- A raging fire has embraced an abandoned Japanese village, the burning buildings offer multiple ways to escape or engage your enemies
Tomb Raider's Caves and Cliffs Multiplayer Map Pack will arrive on Xbox 360 on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 for 400 Microsoft Points. The PS3 and PC release dates have not yet been announced.
