This week’s downloadable Nintendo Poop 12/29/11

The last round of downloadable games for Nintendo platforms is here. Is the Big N going out with a bang? Is the company delivering some sweet digital goodies to close off 2011? The answer is: Yes and no.

First off, WiiWare has another Carmen Sandiego game. Titled Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math: The Big Ben Burglary, the latest edutainment title on WiiWare doesn't look like a winner. It's priced at 600 Wii Points, and I'd suggest skipping it altogether.

DSiWare has got Cake Ninja for 500 DSi Points. It's kind of like Fruit Ninja, but with cakes. There's also Slingo Supreme for 800 DSi Points. It's like slots and bingo with a level editor.

But what's really cookin' this week is on the 3DS eShop. Yes, you read that correctly. Not only do we get the Game Boy version of Bionic Commando for $3.99, but the indie gem VVVVVV lands on the eShop, as well. You can snag this amazing platformer for $7.99. It's well worth it, and if you have yet to play it, I urge you to do so now.
