Remember SteamWorld Dig? Of course you do, it was a fun game. We even said it was the "most fun with a pickaxe since Minecraft" and gave it an 8.5/10.
Well, come spring 2015 there will be a new SteamWorld in town – heads up: it's not a sequel to SteamWorld Dig. Don't get that in your head. It's set in the same world with cowbots as heroes, but it's not going to be the same game. SteamWorld Heist is the name of the game and it's a turn-based strategy game.
SteamWorld Heist puts together steam driven space ships, space adventures and survival. You'll be recruiting a team of robots to explore and scavenge the remains of the SteamWorld Dig world after a cataclysmic event.
The devs at Image & Form got their CEO (Brjann Sigurgeirsson) to talk about SteamWorld Heist… He said "It’ll be full of surprises and probably the best game ever.”
We don't know what platform it's coming to or the price, but we do know that it's coming sometime in 2015…So, at least there's that.
