The Last Story Trademarked by NoA---Don't Get Too Excited, Though

Nintendo of America has trademarked The Last Story! It's happening, everyone! North America is getting The Last Story for sure!

Well, not really.

The trademark appeared on Trademarkia, and it indicates that Nintendo filed the trademark since January 13, 2010. Of course, the notice of allowance was just issued this past Tuesday. Realistically, however, this cleared trademark can mean either that we're definitely getting The Last Story or that we'll never see it North America.

You see, people, the Big N is one of those companies that likes to trademark everything. The Last Story is one of their properties, so it's only natural that they would want the rights to the name, even here in North America where the game may never see the light of day. So don't get too excited because until Nintendo officially announces The Last Story, it's still not coming out here.

Let's hope the folks over at Operation Rainfall are working their magic to convince the higher ups at Nintendo to release The Last Story in North America, like they supposedly have with Xenoblade. The Wii could use some reputable RPGs right about now. Hell, the Wii could use any reputable games right about now.
